Wheel of fortune
I am aware that there are at least 3 other Wheels of Fortune on the NXTlog, but this one uses an actual wheel and is also a little less complicated. It is designed entirely for people to edit, so you have up to 6 different results for each colour. I only have an NXT 1.0, so this project uses a light sensor, but the 2.0 colour sensor would work much better. What you do is you hold the touch sensor and the wheel starts spinning very fast. You can either close your eyes and release the button randomly, or actually try to get a specific colour. It’s sort of like flipping a coin – except you can have up to 6 results! The downside is it’s not very portable – if this project is popular, I will attempt a more advanced and portable version. For those of you who can’t see what the NXT brick says in the video, it says ‘NO’ the first time and ‘YES’ the second time because I set it to say ‘NO’ on a dark colour and ‘YES’ on a light one.
