description

Analog joystick x-axis and y-axis, with two fire buttons. The project involves the control system. In the basic version was built with the pivot rod mounted on a stand, which tilts in the right direction makes an appropriate motor response to the x-axis and y-axis, the data may be read by the NXT and then sent wirelessly to another NXT motors and control the vehicle in proportion to the swing pole. To remind the joystick as the computer is equipped with an additional trigger buttons control functions, located on the same stick in the top-bottom system, on separate the thumb and index finger pointing. For the z-axis, can be mounted third engine in the base, however, can be controlled by the knob of the wheel. It was not possible to locate the axle in the rod. Lever (ratio) for both axes is the same which gives a comfortable control in both directions with equal force. At the present moment I put pictures. Project preparation.

construction

construction ready-to-use file. LXF, when you create a project in LDD noticed that the program does not have the item "4560175: Double Bush 3M Ø4.9", which is in the attached image, you need to insert the two pieces in place marked in the picture, it is a suspension rod steering and also support for the lever moving the upper and lower part, responsible for the movement of the axis.

  • Cool! Maybe I'll make it. Does it use pieces from one NXT 2.0 kit?

  • I have two sets of Mindstorms and some additional pieces from several sets of Lego Technics. Hardly used is the one with the picture "4560175: Double Bush 3M Ø4.9". 'Till the cheapest way to get a set of Quad Bike, or if you have a version of Mindstorms Education resource to have it included.
