It was my goal since the start of this project to allow all four sections to be taken apart very easily. These four sections are, the left and right track assemblies, the middle section and the top cannon/gun. if you look closely at the middle section, you will see four pegs sticking half way into a large gear, (I don't know what the real name for the gear is so if you know, please tell me.) when the cannon is set onto the gear, the pegs are pushed into some holes on the bottom of the motor and the two sections are connected! There are also four more pegs on the bottom of the middle section with two on each side, these are for connecting the track assemblies to the middle section. The track assemblies have been geared up to a 3-5 gear advantage so it moves really fast. One of the biggest problems with the track assemblies was that they did not have very much surface area on the bottom so the robot was prone to tipping over. I fixed this by adding some guide wheels in front and behind the middle section. One other thing I thought would be a problem was that the cannon could turn freely because the was no way i could figure out to hold it in one place without turning but when I put the cables in, they solved the problem by only allowing a slight swaying motion.

I got most of my pieces from the NXT 2.0, Education set, the armor and some other parts came from the Bionicle Skopio XV-1. I got the black treads from the Mars Mission Crystal Reaper. (The mars mission miners weren't very happy with me taking their treads.) The first picture is the cannon turned at an angle. The second is a close up shot of the gun.
