This is a easy simple catapult i made in 20 minutes. You press the touch sensor and it will release anything.

  • Nice. I would suggest adding one or two motors on the side of the motor you have and extending the axle, just to give it more power. By the way, how far can it shoot one of the small little balls that came with the NXT kit?
