Scan-bot: An Image Scanning Robot!
Yes! It's true! This robot can scan a black-and-white image! I got this idea from a library book, and I did need to modify the program, but it works! (most of the time) I have included an LDD file. It will show you how many extra pieces you need. This project was designed for the NXT 1.0, so you need to borrow some Technic parts. It does have problems sometimes, but it's amazing when it works!

Program and LDD File

The first 2 programs are MyBlocks. Put them into the correct folder, then download the ScanBot program. Rename the 1st one as Resolution Switch, and the 2nd one as Threshold Selector. Glitches: LDD didn't allow me to put some of the pieces on right. on the right of the robot in the picture, the big gear should obviously be connected to the other gears. Likewise, the piece in the middle of the robot should be connecting the 2 dowels. I know these pieces fit, because I built it.
