It drives around and avoids obstacles and collects stuff below the ultrasonic sensor in the collector

collector

The collector collects things that are low enough not to make it move out of the way.It keeps them in the collector until it gets back to base.

The aim

This is designed to explore Mars and report back and bring back samples to a maned base on the surface

The threads

For the threads I just copied the instructions for the threads from the snatcher model in The LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT 2.0 Discovery Book

  • Cool! The rover looks like it might be bending a little though. And it wouldn't be able to reverse without losing the things it collects. Maybe you could work on that. :)

  • I agree with MindstormsAddict, you should strengthen up the frame and maybe replace the "collector" with some kind of claw or grabber. Good start though!
