Pile Producer
I haven't uploaded a robot in forever and a bit, so I'll start again with this one. This is the guy I use to separate and push together all the huge piles of LEGOs lyin all over the place all over my room. The front end dips in and out depending on whether it's combining together a pile or breaking it apart. It moves via the third motor in the bed of the chassis with a crank shaft and a touch sensor. This thing is extremely stable; the main chassis is packed and doesn't move under any sort of pressure. The program is pretty simple so I didn't bother creating one; basically it moves forward to push (either until the motor feels pressure or a certain distance), then backs up, rotates outward a few degrees, then turns in again at a harder angle (after so many pushes it creates a circle). To separate piles there's a button on the nxt you push, and the third motor opens the blades. I added the other three sensors in case it runs into anything or is about to fall off a table.

  • Can the front scoop round and in on itself?

  • Yeah, there's a third motor that pushes the center of the scoop out to angle it and pulls back in to flatten it with a train-piston-like apparatus.
