Sandstorm Instant Sandwich
Hello again, world! This is my second entry to the Foodfactor building contest, and it is a sandwich maker. At the press of a button you can have the Sandstorm make you a sandwich. The program: Press the left touch sensor and it makes a blt. Press the right touch sensor and it makes an everything sandwich. Put your hand in front of the US sensor and it makes a cheese sandwich. I had to split the program into two parts due to uploading limits (I will upload the second half and the video in another post), and your nxt will have to be almost empty to download it.

The Arm

A two motored grabber that delivers the ingredients to the plate. Motor B turns the grabber, which is powered by motor A.

Ingredient Racks

Seven ingredient racks hold the things you need to make a sandwich. From the plate going counterclockwise: bread, whole wheat bread, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sliced turkey. The racks can hold three of each ingredient and the weight of the ingredients loads the grabber tray.

  • That is extremely creative!(creative in a good way) That would be cool if you added a feature so that the Sandstorm would make you a random sandwich; that could be fun!

  • Okay, thanks all! Sorry, SDR4491, I cannot make a video (I took Sandstorm apart already), but I will probably make a better version of Sandstorm with more ingredients soon. I did accidentally post this project before I was finished typing it, agentsky1022. Thanks, idkwhoyouare, han-solo-ninja13, and NXTfiend133! I tried to use the NXT buttons third type, but they would not work (I know what I did wrong now).

  • Thanks, coolguywithNXT and ajraymond! Umm, I'm not sure what what you are asking, the picture of the LEGO sandwich is the everything sandwich. Thanks, NXTesla! I like the random sandwich idea, but the program for Sandstorm is already huge, and the NXT does not have enough room for another sandwich. :( Thanks, Python2020, hsoj955, and BenF2005!
