Adventurer
This is my first succesful robot that I've ever made with Lego Mindstorms. It's programmed with leJOS, java for NXT. It has moving ultrasonic sensor to detect the obstacles and walls. The robot itself just goes around the room, and if it detects an object it dodges it. Source code and video can be found in YouTube.

Back wheel

This was the most difficult part of the whole robot to get working. Basically it's just a rotating back wheel, which allows the robot to move more freely.

Ultrasonic Sensor and Color Sensor

The Ultrasonic Sensor and Color Sensor are attached to a Servo motor, which rotates them. This allows the robot to dodge objetcs without having to stop, and scan around. The Color Sensor works as a lamp in this robot.

  • It is not that hard to make a castor wheel. Look it up at the NXT programs website.
