Future of movie theaters
Hello! This project was inspired by a book that I got from the library. Part of it talked about what movie theaters might be like in the future, and it mentioned simulator seats. So, I thought, "I wonder if you could make a NXT version of those..." and set out to make one. This project uses 2 NXT's, and 3 motors. For some reason, when i build a robot with my second NXT as a controller, get a working bluetooth connection and working programs, nothing happens. Please comment if you have a solution. Anyway, because of this, i used a motor pressing a touch sensor instead of bluetooth. Once again comment if you have a solution. I will, discuss the various parts in later steps

The seat

This is the seat. The touch sensor is there to detect when the motor connected to the screen presses it. I had to make my own special pins that face different sides on the ends for the motor to connect to the seat. See picture 1 to see these pins.

The screen

This is screen. There really isn't much else to say about it.

  • well, first, you have to connect the two nxts from the nxt that is sending the signals. also, you will have to include parts in program that receive/send the message. If you could post the program, i can tell you what's wrong

  • In my project Servo Control with Radio Remote, I have a Bluetooth Advice step that you should read. You may find the answer in the rules I have listed. But there may be other issues if you haven't set the connection up properly. Read the NXT guide book carefully. The Bluetooth connection in the programs in my project work very well and you may get some ideas from them.
