Ultimate on the Hand Bot
Made by Botdesigner. This robot won the Multi-Porpuse award for the NXTLOG Utilitybot building challenge. This is my compact "On the Hand Robot"! This robot is literally at your finger tips. You can wear this robot on your hand. Because of this feature, you can take it anywhere in the house to help make your day "techie". This Robot has six different modes in its compact surface. 1. Light switch mode 2. Hammer mode 3. Gun mode 4. Flashlight mode 5. Color 2 sound mode 6. Bottle-top mode What it does: 1. Light switch mode: The NXT's display will read: "Light Switch". In this mode, when the robot gets too close to a wall where a light switch is located, it will rotate the front motor up about 250 degrees, to flip the light switch! Once the robot has flipped on the light it can now flip it off. 2. Hammer Mode: The NXT's display will read: "Hammer mode". In this mode the front motor will move up and down until you move to the next mode. 3. Gun mode: The NXT's display will read: "Gun mode". In this mode you can press the touch sensor and it will trigger a flash of colored light from the color lamp and, at the same time, a laser sound from the NXT. 4. Flashlight mode: The NXT's display will read: "Flashlight". In this mode you can press the touch sensor to change the color coming from the color lamp. Using this function you can see in the dark! 5. Bottle-top mode: The NXT's display will read: "Bottle top". In this mode you can position the secondary motor's grip on a bottle top of the right size and then press the touch sensor. The robot will give you two seconds to grab the bottle with your free hand, then the motor should twist the top off. The robot also twists the top back on. Note: The bottle top must be loosely screwed on. 6. Color 2 sound mode: The NXT's display will read: "Color2Sound". In this mode you can move the color sensor over certain colors and the NXT will make different sound tones, depending on which color is scanned.
