Bionic arm with realistic remote control
My first project with 2 nxt,but I didn't mix them,the nxt 1.0 is the controller and the 2.0 is the arm. In this project I didn't focused on DoF,I focused on how do I control the arm, with my own. when I move my 4 fingers on the controller, It move the 4 fingers of the arm, I move my thumb, it move as well, I've put a sensor(or look like) on my elbow to control how high the arm will be, depending of how I move It, It can grab somethings. Sorry about the video but you will undestand why I had to compact it so much.

Program

That's why I had to compress the video so much, I usually do complex programs but I overdid this time, its because its my first time using bluetooth. The program works like this: when I move my figers,or my elbow, or my thumb on the controller, It sends the degrees do the arm,and it checks if the variabele is diferent from the motor on the arm, if it is, it subtract the bluetooth variable with the motor, or the another way, depending on the direction.

  • Cool !! I also had the Idea to build something like that, but I only have one NXT 1.0 and I would have needed an Infrared sensor (to send the Signals from the NXT motors to four Lego bulldozer - motors). So you practically "realized my dream" !! Great Project, have fun using it !!
