What I do besides building with MINDSTORMS:
I work for an agricultural consulting company where we help farmers utilize technology to farm more effectively and efficiently.

Experience with MINDSTORMS:
I began building with the RCX after attending a local LEGO MINDSTORMS sumo event being run by Steve Hassenplug. I managed to keep myself from buying my own MINDSTORMS kit for about a week. But I had been bitten by the bug, and it has been all downhill (in a good way!) from there. Since then I have competed in many different MINDSTORMS competitions and participated in several LEGO fan events. I have also helped coach our local LEGO club’s FLL (FIRST LEGO League) team for several years now.

Experience with MINDSTORMS Sumo:
My experience with MINDSTORMS Sumo isn't nearly as impressive as Steve Hassenplug's. Of course, some of that is because I always seem to be going to the same events where he's taking 1st and 2nd, so I (along with Bryan Bonahoom and Brian Davis) are left to fight over 3rd. Though every once in a while, we either enter different divisions or actually manage to beat him. I've been competing in MINDSTORMS Sumo since about 2002. I've won a few here and there. I really have no idea how many competitions I've entered, but I know I've built over a dozen different Sumo robots of various shapes & sizes.
