Comments: Great use of non-standard LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT parts (although it was a good thing that members of the Robotics Posse could get their hands on them). Each member of the Robotics Posse battled their own robot against MG_Sumo.

Comments: Excellent documentation on NXTLOG. The robot could have turned better, the back bumper kept falling off, but the wedge worked very well against a number of robots.

Comments: Although this project did not have an LDD file, it had step-by-step instructions with pictures. The Robotics Posse was able to reconstruct this robot easily due to R2D2475566's excellent documentation.

The Not-So-Blind-Bandit

Comments: Creative use of sound sensors to detect opponent. Good looking, compact and sturdy design, and a fun name. Well documented NXTLOG and program as well. Many members of the Robotics Posse were cheering on the Bandit to win. Bandit made it to the final round!

Comments: Cutest looking robot, easiest to build, made use of treads for traction, and made it to the final round.

Intelligent Sumo

Comments: An Ultrasonic Sensor attached to a motor on the top of Intelligent Sumo acted like a head looking around for its opponent. The robot also had a smart strategy of avoiding rather than attacking. The avoidance strategy did not help the Intelligent Sumo make it to the final round.
